On December 21, 2012, much of North America will experience cold weather and snow and shopping malls will be very crowded with people who haven’t finished their Christmas shopping.
It doesn’t matter because the world will end on January 12th, 2011.
Oh, yes, the calendar IS wrong. The end of the world happened 10 years ago. And also 10 years before that as well.

But the fact remains, the Mayan Doomsday Prophecy is purely based on a calendar which we believe hasn’t been designed to calculate dates beyond 2012. Mayan archaeo-astronomers are even in debate as to whether the Long Count is designed to be reset to 0.0.0.0.0 after 13.0.0.0.0, or whether the calendar simply continues to 20.0.0.0.0 (approximately 8000 AD) and then reset.
So it has nothing to do with the end of the world. People who believe in the prophecy are just being paranoid. So don’t be bother, keep thinking of the better future ahead of you.
personally i think nothing will happen
the mayan calender comes to an end on december 21 2012. it is one of the most accurate calenders in its time. it is also the center of a hyped up media attention. because of myths and people who jump to conclusions. nobody really knows why it ends there. but the main theory is because its the end of a cycle. the calender started when the sun was directly in line with what you can visually see at night of our milky way galaxy.. the next time this happens will be around dec 21 2012
